Angelo Petrucci, Italian born Boston native, started playing guitar when he was only five years old. After his father, a professional guitar player, became ill, Angelo replaced his dad in his father's band at just thirteen years old. Angelo won a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Veronica Torres, of Puerto Rican descent born in the Bronx, NY, met Angelo when she was twenty years old while singing and attending Berklee in Boston. Angelo says that when he first saw Veronica, he said, “that’s my wife.” They were married in April 1992.
Veronica Petrucci has recorded three solo albums including Made It Out Alive. She has won Atlanta Gospel Choice Award Winner for Best Female Artist and The Block Buster Showcase Music Award for Song of the Year for “Made It Out Alive”. Her book, How I Made It Out Alive, is her personal testimony of overcoming fear and depression. She is currently working on her second book.
Angelo and Veronica have received honorary doctorates in sacred music. They teach online vocal training called Master Your Voice. They have an online ministry, Higher Place Church every Sunday. Angelo and Veronica continue to write and produce music that is soulful, timeless and relevant. Angelo & Veronica have recorded eleven albums together, their latest called Back to the Gospel. They have also recently released their earliest album, The Original Recordings 1990-1991. They are currently working on a new album which is slated for 2025.
